A Subaru vende desde a segunda metade de 2018 no Brasil a nova geração do modelo XV, o carro que é um misto de SUV com hatch, ganhou uma série de melhorias a começar pelo visual, que ficou mais bonito e estiloso. Atualmente em sua linha 2019 o utilitário esportivo é ofertado em duas configurações: L e S e com preços que vão de R$ 120.900 a R$ 131.900. Basicamente a principal diferença entre elas está no conjunto de equipamentos, já que o conjunto mecânico é a mesmo, um 2.0 de 156 cv a gasolina com injeção direta, tração 4×4 e câmbio automático de sete velocidades CVT.

A primeira geração do Subaru XV veio ao mundo em 2010 e era apenas uma versão aventureira do Impreza hatchback, porém o carro fez sucesso. A segunda geração veio em 2012, já montada em uma plataforma nova, maior. Em 2015 o XV ganhou visual atualizado, interior mais equipado e novos recursos mecânicos visando melhorar sua capacidade off-road.

Comparado ao modelo anterior o Subaru XV deixou de ser apenas uma versão mais alta do Impreza hatchback, ganhou personalidade e estilo próprio, a dianteira adotou a novo padrão visual da Subaru, e traz inovações como faróis tecnológicos com Full LED direcionais, além da grade maior e de visual agressivo. As rodas são aro 18, o carro tem rack no teto em alumínio.
Enquanto as laterais do novo Subaru XV ganharam contornos mais evidentes, que passam uma aparência maior e mais imponente ao modelo aventureiro da Subaru, o carro está comprido, largo e baixo. Essa geração do XV tem comprimento de 4.47 metros, um aumento de 3 cm em relação ao modelo anterior, enquanto a distância entre-eixos é de 2.67 metros, alta de 3 cm em relação ao modelo anterior, a largura é de 1.80 m e a altura total com o rack é de 1.61 m. Graças ao uso de materiais mais leve, apesar de ser maior, o peso da carroceria foi reduzido em 12 quilos, ele pesa 1465 kg.
Não confunda o Subaru XV 2019 com outros hatch e SUVs “aventureiros urbanos” que temos no Brasil, o modelo japonês realmente é um carro feito para ir além do asfalto, o XV tem uma boa altura em relação ao solo de 220 mm (22 cm), altura similar a modelos como Jeep Compass e maior que os SUVs compactos como Honda HR-V e Ford Ecosport.
Além da tradicional tração integral nas quatro rodas Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive da Subaru, que distribui a tração entre as rodas dianteiras e traseira de acordo com a necessidade – por padrão em situações de asfalto seco por exemplo, 60% da tração é enviada para as rodas dianteiras e 40% para as traseiras, o Subaru XV 2019 tem ainda um novo recursos eletrônico, X-MODE, que da mais valentia para ir além da estrada, este modo off-road ajusta a tração, controle de estabilidade e de tração, além da direção e o câmbio do Subaru para andar em pisos escorregadios, como terra, lama ou pedras. O X Mode, também conta com um novo controle de descida que, de forma automática aplica o freio do Subaru ao descer ladeiras ou rampas.
Ou seja, apesar do visual comportado, o Subaru XV 2019 tem sim uma ótima capacidade off-road, alias muito além da oferecida na maioria dos SUVs vendidos no Brasil nesta faixa de preço.
Seguindo a já conhecida cartilha de carros japoneses, o interior do Subaru XV 2019 ainda é bem sóbrio, apesar disso a cabine nesta noav geração agrada pela qualidades dos materiais no acabamento e na sua construção. O painel é inteiramente novo, tem estilo mais envolvente e há detalhes em couro no painel, além de apliques em Black Piano. Os bancos estão maiores e mais confortáveis.

Além disso o carro ficou muito mais equipado em sua terceira geração, versão mais básica “L” – R$ 120.800, sai da loja equipada com sete airbags – sendo dois frontal, dois laterais, dois do tipo cortina e um para os joelhos do motorista, há ainda controle eletrônicos de tração, estabilidade e de rampa, faróis Full-LEDs, rodas aro 18 com pneus 255/55 R18, central multimídia com tela LCD de 8 polegadas com espelhamento de telefones Android e Apple, câmera de ré e comandos por voz, sistema de som premium da marca Harman Kardon com seis alto falantes, ar condicionado automático digital dual zone com comandos por voz, direção elétrica e volante com regulagem de altura e profundidade, pedais em alumínio, display digital de 6.3 polegadas no topo do painel que mostra funções do carro, computador de bordo e ajustes do ar-condicionado, piloto automático, câmbio automático com borboletas atrás do volante para se fazer as trocas também de forma manual, freio de estacionamento eletrônica com função auto-hold, assistente de frenagem de emergência, sistema keyless com abertura das portas por aproximação e partida do motor por botão, banco traseiro bi-partido 60/40 e descansa braço traseiro entre outros itens.
Subaru XV S R$ 131.900 (tabela FIPE)
A versão S do Subaru XV é mais de R$ 10,000 mais cara (R$ 131.900), porém agrega ao carro teto solar e bancos em couro com costuras laranja, enquanto na versão mais simples os bancos são forrados com tecido, além de detector de pontos cegos, faróis Full LED com assistente de farol alto – ajuste automático do farol alto para não ofuscar os outros motoristas e faróis direcionais.
O Subaru XV 2019 é impulsionado por um novo motor 2.0L, Boxer quatro cilindros aspirado a gasolina capaz de entregar 156 CV de potência e 20 kgfm de torque, esse motor é 6 cv mais potente em relação ao motor do antigo XV, além de ter injeção direta de combustível, ser mais leve e ter 80% das peças novas, o que na pratica resultará em melhor desempenho e menos consumo de combustível.
O bloco trabalha em conjunto com um câmbio automático CVT que simula 7 velocidades, as trocas de marcha também podem ser feitas de forma manual por meio de paddler-shift (borboletas) posicionadas atrás do volante.
O desempenho do Subaru XV é razoável, o Subaru precisa de 10.4 segundos para atingir ir de 0 a 100 km/h e tem velocidade máxima de 194 km/h. Já o consumo é bom, de acordo com dados do INMETRO fica em 9.9 km por litro na cidade e 12 km/l na estrada, lembrando que ele só bebe gasolina.
No Brasil o Subaru XV ainda tem um volume de vendas bem pequeno, em parte isso se deve a rede da Subaru que é bem tímida comparada as rivais, já em outros mercados como nos EUA a situação é bem diferente, por lá o XV é um fenômeno em vendas tanto que a Subaru recentemente teve que aumentar sua produção para atender a demanda.
